While my Dad watches Judge Judy, my mom is busy honing her computer keyboard skills... Never a woman lost for words, it is only her hen-pecking fingers that keep her from sending all of us (her 5 kids and our families) the longest letters everyday!
She has renewed relationships with long lost cousins, as well as her sister-in-law and family in Florida. Her guy cousin from Florida sends her the most "colorful" Emails which she mostly deletes or deems them acceptable ENOUGH to GIGGLINGLY forward to ALL of us.
She gets the BIGGEST KICK out of those, "If you Love Jesus, Send this Email to AS MANY PEOPLE as you can...in 5 MINUTES!"
Mom has taken her two younger brothers under her wing and is now BABYING THEM via snail mail, Email, and her sometimes daily phone calls. Her brothers live in Tennessee and over the past few months she has been losing her Illinois accent and picking up her long lost Tennessee accent! She coos words like, Darlin' and Sugah and such.
Lately, folks have been BOMBARDING her with NEGATIVE POLITICAL articles and videos. She takes this PERSONAL! She will blast off a reply (at hen pecking SPEED) informing them that she does not want any NEGATIVE Emails! It's sad to see that some people actually TAKE ON this almost 80 year old LADY. Her feelings have been hurt and she has LOST respect for some old friends that have RIDICULED her to her CYBER FACE and have been down right rude...
She forges on into her wide world of communication bravely everyday while my Dad sits amazed at his Cyber Savvy Woman!
